- Alivia Corbanese Added December 28, 2023★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆30 weeks pregnant just needed to get my whooping cough vaccine so I booked in with the nurse. Was consulted by the nurse, then told I needed to be consulted by the GP as it was my first appointment at the clinic. Was in with the GP for less than 2 minutes, he asked me why I was there, imported my immunization history then told me to go back to the waiting room and wait for the nurse. Got my injection. Then was told I had to pay a $30 consult fee for seeing the GP. Was never told when I booked I would have to see the GP, if I had known I would have just gone to my normal clinic which bulk bills the whole appointment, the Vaccine was bulk billed.
Basically charged $30 for 2 minutes of unnecessary time with the GP. Receptionist was polite, helpful and efficient, and the Dr was considerate and professional. Such a different experience from my usual place, where I have to wait hours or days to see someone.
